Polityczne koncepcje Unii Europejskiej
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Rudnicki, Zbigniew Bartłomiej
The political ideas of the European Union take their roots in the writings of the founding fathers of the West European integration. However, the theoretical reflections are not profound, sińce the authors were in the first place pragmatists like Jean Monnet. The first political visions aimed, first of all, at convincing both political elites as well as European masses to undertake the work of the unification of Europę. The theoretical ideas relating to the political dimension of the European integration awake emotions. Apart from reflections on international and regional integration, which can be found in the works on the theories of international relations, the political regime of the European Union did not await any profound study. Nevertheless, the theoretical discussion on the political shape of the European Union was caused by the process of constitutionalisation of the European Union. In the course discussions on the Constitutional Treaty, the more influential authors of theoretical works presented their opinions. The most important debates turned to be ąuestions concerning the sovereignty of the Community supranational structure as well as the democratic deficit of the European Union. This article focuses on the most important discussions led from the position of the theory of democracy as well as the international political theory.

Poza etatem. Społeczna odpowiedź na zmianę popytu na pracę
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Piróg, Tomasz
In this paper we present an analysis of the recent changes in the job market and discuss the process this trig-gered in the social politics of the welfare states. We examine the economic reasons for the changes in job demand and furthermore explore the associated changes in the social structures. New forms of employment and gratification demand a restructurization in the social politics in order to elasticise the job supply. The mismatch between the demand and supply on the job market may result in unemployment, work outside the norms of the law and a growing deficit of social security. This in turn leads to the situation where the sale of own work force doesn't always result in a dignified life standard. As a result, new ways to support people outside the regular job market need to be found. These new solutions are essential in the modern society where the distribution of work is an important issue shaping the social bonds and individual identities.

In reference to the views of Self by William James, Russell Belk, Hazel Markus and Alvin Toffler the research described below give the picture of change in Self structure among the Polish internet users. The intensive impact between the Self-concepts and IT technology is still getting stronger. The most important results:1. Over 1/5 subjects, users of the mobile phone and Internet, treat the mobile phone as the part of their Self-indentity. 2. 11% subjects treat the mobile phone as the part of their Self and without of this part the existence is impossible at all. 3. 18% subjects, treat the memory and data of the mobile phone the same as the personal memory. The contacts with IT objects, especially the mobile phone, lead to the change of autonomy of Self-perception and planning of everyday activity. The research described In the article are the second stage of research and lead to the next ones dedicated to more close examination of described below effects. The influence of IT technology to the Self structure is still getting stronger. The specific direction of the influence is difficult to close prediction in this moment, but in opinion of author-must be monitored and described. Because of geometrie inerease of the intensity of the contact between the human being and the IT objects the forms the activity easy-to-do until today could be impossible to manage without of the IT support. For example in first stage of the research, made with IDI methodology, the subjects declare the lack of the chance of meeting with friends in the downtown without support of the mobile phone. From the other hand the strong positive impact between the IT technology and cognhwe abilities are undeniable in behavior in abstract level activity. In the opinion of author the name »mobile phone« is not actual in Polish culture anymore. This IT object should be treated as the »input« to the virtual data system.
