Wdrażanie usług korzystających z adresacji anykast - dyskusja problemów i zagrożeń
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Chodorek, Agnieszka; Chodorek, Robert R.; Pach, Andrzej R.
The IP anycast address scheme was introduced by RFC 1546 in 1993. Two years later, anycasting became a part of IPv6 networks. Anycast allows the service-oriented, one-to-one-of-many transmission. The IP anycast datagram is delivered to the nearest host, which belongs to the group of hosts identified by common anycast address. In the paper, the main challenges of practical application of anycast-based services will be discussed.
Analiza symulacyjna układów anten MIMO w systemach łączności ruchomej trzeciej generacji
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Mazik, Maciej; Ludwin, Wiesław; Giersz, Maciej
The third generation systems being a next step of evolution of mobile communication face still growing demand for throughput, coverage and quality of service. To fulfill this demand the newest data transmission technologies have to be used in 3G systems. The most promising solution are MIMO multiple antennas, described in present paper. The paper compares simulation and experimental results for MIMO antennas. Experimental results are taken from the literature. The increase of throughput for the third generation systems due to improvement of spectral efficiency factor is presented in this work.
Planowanie bezpiecznej komunikacji w sieciach komputerowych zgodnej z zaleceniami ITU-T
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Niemiec, Marcin; Pach, Andrzej R.; Pacyna, Piotr
This paper introduces design considerations of a security architecture for network systems providing end-to-end communications. We present eight dimensions of a security architecture which is based on recommendations of International Telecommunication Union and a few security techniques that are often employed to protect against major security threats. We also present two examples of security architectures: the first of them is currently being deployed and exploited in production networks while the second is our own proposition.
Koncepcja systemu multikastowej aktualizacji zasobów serwerów korzystających z adresacji anykastowej
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Chodorek, Robert R.; Chodorek, Agnieszka; Pach, Andrzej R.
Anycast is a new addressing scheme, which provides a one-to-one-of-many communication service. Anycast is a service-oriented addressing - each service has its own, pre-defined IP address, identical for all servers provides the service, apart from their geographical location. The IP packet is delivered to the one of servers with the same anycast address (preferably the closest one) and the server selection take place automatically. The anycast-based service will work effectively only if data stored in all servers are coherent and if they are updated simultaneously. In the paper, a concept of multicast updating of content of servers which utilize anycast addressing is presented.
Naliczanie opłat w sieciach telekomunikacyjnych
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Kantor, Mirosław; Wajda, Krzysztof
This paper presents Basic issues for billing system dedicated to support services in telecommunication networks. Main economic conditions and functionalities of the system are described. Fundamental terms and definitions are explained. Impact of billing system on service users' behavior is characterized. In concluding section main criteria for assessment of billing schemes are given.
