Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Assessment of the ergonomic of Polish major news portals based on analysis of people's behaviour while they are browsing for information(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2010) Zachara, Marek; Piskor-Ignatowicz, Cezary; Dutkiewicz, Lidia; Grobler-Dębska, Katarzyna; Orzechowski, Patryk; Pałka, DariuszThis paper focuses on the ergonomics of Polish major news portals. The advantages and disadvantages of the portals are considered with the emphasis on the easiness of use. The ergonomics of the portals is evaluated by the time users needed to complete certain tasks, tracking of users gaze while they are watching the web pages and also by post experiments interviews. Certain attributes of the page layout that benefit usability will also be discussed. The assessed easiness of use is also compared with the portals' market share.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Badania nad automatyzacją procesu tworzenia serwisów internetowych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2010) Dutkiewicz, Lidia; Grobler-Dębska, Katarzyna; Orzechowski, Patryk; Pałka, Dariusz; Piskor-Ignatowicz, Cezary; Zachara, MarekThe article presents description of a methodology and experiments concluded in order to develop a seminatural language that can be used to describe the layout of web pages. The language is developed with the final goal of automatic web interface generation in mind. The guidelines for the construction of such language presented in this paper are drawn from the results of a real life scenario experiment when a web page layout is produced on a basis of the requirements description prepared by a group of non-professionals.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Szybka metoda wektoryzacji krawędzi odcinkami w czasie rzeczywistym(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Zachara, MarekThe following article presents an algorithm for image vectorisation. The method presented below relays on an output from edgedetection algorithm (e.g. Canny) and in turn produces a list of vectors that are representation of all straight lines on the image. The algorithm proven itself to be fast and prevents redundant output. Experiments show that the method can be used for real-time processing.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analiza w czasie rzeczywistym ruchu kamery względem sceny na podstawie analizy wektorów ruchu(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Zachara, MarekIn the presented article a method for estimation of camera movement against the scene is proposed. The analysis is performed based on calculated motion vectors for selected regions of each frame. A method for selecting feature-rich regions has been also described - using such regions results in much less error during matching process. The main feature of the proposed algorithm is utilisation of large number of small regions distributed evenly over the whole frame. Advantages of such approach for motion estimation have also been listed. Finally, an additional method for minimizing error has been proposed based on comparision of motion vectors against vectors of the neighbouring regions.Item type:Doctoral Dissertation, Access status: Open Access , Aktywna analiza otoczenia przy użyciu systemu wizyjnego mobilnego robota w oparciu o autonomicznie podejmowane decyzje(Data obrony: 2008) Zachara, Marek
Wydział Elektrotechniki, Automatyki, Informatyki i ElektronikiThe thesis presents a complete system for image processing and analysis, based on a vector image representation. The methods and algorithms developed by the author and presented in the thesis demonstrate the way to transform the image into the vector form, and how to process it to achieve object recognition. The results of the image analysis are then used to drive the robot, proving it with the means to achieve a certain goal (e.g. find a specific object in the room) without the human supervision. Contrary to the most of the known vectorization methods, these presented in the work are focused on fast (real-time) processing. Moreover, the whole system has been designed as a multi-threaded, allowing the tasks to be distributed around multi-core or multi-processor systems.
