    A strong demand for the modern high-frequency sources for induction heating has inspired an idea to construct a high-frequency generator with semiconductor power devices which in future will probably replace the electron-tube generators. To this end, a new inverter system was considered with such a method of control of its switches that the highest possible frequencies and power be obtained. The detailed theoretical analysis of the inverter system was based on differential, operational and matrix calculus as well as trigonometric and Fourier transforms and resulted in formula containing electrical quantities connected with the elements of the system. Then computer simulations were carried out with the use of C++, Pspice and Matlab applications for the considered inverter system. 100-kHz 2-kW and ł-MHz prototypes of induction heating inverters made with the state-of-the-art power switches (fast MOSFET power transistors) was manufactured as the high-frequency generators. Comparing the results, a good conformity was obtained between the measurements made for the prototypes and the results of the simulation calculations.
