Abstract
Municipal waste management is an integral part of environmental protection. Western European countries produce significant amounts of municipal wastes, a part of which is disposed on landfill sites. The present article is devoted to the adaptation of an old landfill site located on a former outcrop to the present legal and technical-organizational state currently in force in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Zagospodarowanie odpadów komunalnych stanowi integralną część ochrony środowiska. Kraje Europy Zachodniej produkują znaczne ilości odpadów komunalnych, z których część jest deponowana na składowiskach. Niniejszy artykuł omawia problemy związane z adaptacją starego składowiska zlokalizowanego na terenie byłej odkrywki do aktualnego stanu prawnego i techniczno-organizacyjncgo, jaki obowiązuje obecnie w RFN.
