Abstract
The causes of failure of casing and its connections are discussed in the paper. The influence of carbon on the mechanical properties of steel pipes was analysed. The advantages of a multilayer steel highly resistant to corrosion were analysed in view of pipes and other operation elements production.
W artykule przeprowadzona została analiza przyczyn awarii rur wiertniczych oraz ich połączeń. Zbadano wpływ zawartości węgla na właściwości mechaniczne rur stalowych. Przedstawiono również zalety zastosowania wielowarstwowej stali o wysokiej odporności na korozję do produkcji rur oraz poszczególnych części urządzeń wiertniczych.
