Tematem pracy dyplomowej są górnicze i balneologiczne walory Swoszowic. Praca dotyczy wyjątkowego bogactwa Swoszowic, którym była siarka oraz są wody mineralne. Walory górnicze Swoszowic związane są z dawną eksploatacją siarki. Złoże w Swoszowicach należało przez wieki do największych złóż siarki w Europie.
