To consolidate materials in this process the most commonly are used roller presses with a smooth working surface. The product quality is largely dependent on distribution of the pressure on the compacted material. Therefore, work began on mathematical modeling of the distribution of pressure in the compacting process. The article presents the model and its verification. On the basis of the model will be developed a computer simulation program for compacting finegrained material, which should develop the theory and construction roll presses.
