Wybrane problemy magnetotellurycznych i grawimetrycznych badań strukturalnych we wschodniej części polskich Karpat
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Stefaniuk, Michał; Ostrowski, Cezary; Targosz, Paweł; Wojdyła, Marek
Selected results of recent magnetotelluric and gravity investigations made in eastern part of the Polish Carpathians were presented in the paper. Results of regional magnetotelluric survey made along two profiles: Maniów - Przemyśl and Radoszyce - Przemyśl were reinterpreted with the use of state-of-the-art 1D and 2D inversion procedures. The accuracy of the evaluation of a depth of interpreted resistivity boundaries was analysed in the framework of interpretation works. Resistivity cross-sections including main interpreted lithological boundaries and tectonic zones were made. Geological models along profiles: Szczawne - Kuźmina and Jaśliska - Brzozów were verified with the use of gravity force modelling. Correlation dependences between average velocities of seismic wave and values of residual anomalies of gravity force were evaluated. Regional maps of average velocities were constructed based on obtained regression equations.

Ilościowa charakterystyka parametrów petrofizycznych ropo- i gazonośnych litofacji fliszowych w profilach wierceń wschodniej części polskich Karpat
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Czopek, Barbara; Szczygieł, Monika; Baran, Urszula
The aim of the paper is to present results of application of the Schlumberger's Interactive Petrophysics software to interpretation of petrophysical parameters of flysch rocks in 16 well sections located in the eastern Outer Carpathians, within the area of outcrops of the Skole and Silesian nappes. Values of the parameters (thickness, clay content, porosity, hydrocarbon saturation) of sandstone packages in particular well sections were compiled in tables according to their lithostratigraphic status and then compared to results of laboratory determinations included in documentation of wells drilled by the Polish Oil and Gas Company, South Branch in Jasło. Characteristics of variability in these parameters are illustrated by printouts of interpretation results for selected sections and by histograms of distribution of the clay content and porosity for the Krosno, Menilite and Inoceramian lithofacies in the Skole series, as well as for the Krosno (and Transition) and Menilite Beds in the Silesian series. Clay content lower than 33.3% and porosity higher than 3.5% were accepted as the criterion of distinction of sandstone horizons.

Estymacja ciśnień porowych na podstawie wolumenu prędkości sejsmicznych
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Górecki, Wojciech; Marecik, Tomasz
The paper presents the methodology of computing the pore pressures with the use of the seismic velocity profile from migration analyses in the pre-stack version. The area of interest is localized in eastern part of Polish Carpathians between Rzeszów and Przemyśl in the vicinity of Rączyna, Jodłówka nad Drohobyczka wells. The migration velocity crossection were included for 17-2-91K seismic profile. The Eaton method was applied to calculate the pressure distribution in the geologic medium. According to Eaton's methodology the velocity compaction trend for normal condition were computed in clay intervals (clay volume more than 65%). The way of calculating the spatial model of seismic-wave propagation velocity based on 1D and 2D data was described. Final distribution of the pore pressures along the seismic section 17-4-91K located east of Rzeszów was presented.

Analiza wyników powierzchniowych badań geochemicznych w transgranicznej strefie Karpat polskich i ukraińskich
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Sechman, Henryk; Dzieniewicz, Marek
The paper presents results of reconnaissance surface geochemical surveys carried out in the years 2007 and 2008 in the eastern Polish Carpathians and western Ukrainian Carpathians between the Carpathian Foredeep and Dukla Overthrust. The surveys intended to assess the possibility of occurrence of subsurface hydrocarbon accumulations in the area characterized by common occurrence of oil seeps at outcrops of beds, which had been intensely folded and deeply dissected by erosion. The surveys were conducted along 11 profiles. The profiles were running transversally to the strike of flysch structural-facies units. The geochemical surveys consisted in taking 890 soil-gas samples, in which concentrations of gaseous hydrocarbons and helium were determined. Concentrations of methane, higher alkanes, gaseous alkenes and helium reached to nearly 50 vol.%, 0.4 vol.%, 132 ppm and 52 ppm, respectively. The anomalous alkanes concentrations, graphically presented against the background of major Carpathian tectonic units and documented hydrocarbon deposits, have confirmed, in general, the existence of the deposits, whereas some of the concentrations have indicated possible occurrence of other, still undocumented subsurface hydrocarbon accumulations.

Pomiary emisji metanu w wybranych rejonach polskich Karpat Zewnętrznych
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Sechman, Henryk; Dzieniewicz, Marek
The paper presents measurement results of dynamics of methane concentrations and its emission. The investigations were carried out with application of the method of static chambers in 16 stations located in the Polish Outer Carpathians. The measurements included changes of concentrations of hydrocarbon gases and carbon dioxide, which naturally escape to the atmosphere from the land surface and flow from the depth of 1 m. The concentration changes were analyzed in various time intervals: from a few minutes up to almost 30 hours. Methane concentrations ranged from approximately 1.6 ppm up to nearly 8000 ppm. Dynamics of its concentrations was most distinct when it was flowing from the depth of 1 m and it was changing within the range of -0.23 to 100.7 ppm $\cdot$ min$^{-1}$. The calculated emission quantities ranged from -24.5 to 10 606.9 mg $\cdot$ m$^{-2} \cdot$ d$^{-1}$, with the mean value equal to 304.5 mg $\cdot$ m$^{-2} \cdot$ d$^{-1}$ and median of 0.21 mg $\cdot$ m$^{-2} \cdot$ d$^{-1}$. The results of the investigations enabled the authors to optimize the methodology of field measurements and to estimate the quantity of methane which escapes from an area unit of the Carpathian orogen during a time unit.
