Description

Abstract

This research work compares four popular systems for relational database management system (DBMS) and one non-relational database in to order to select the most effective one (in the context of cloud storage points from LiDAR). The topic focused on the optimization of relational database PostgreSQL. The reason for this choice was the wide range of tools offered as an extension to support action on a cloud of points. After researches the most optimal choice proved to be is PostgreSQL. Checking the non-relational database MongoDB found, that it behaves efficiently with a small number of documents. In addition, impact on the speed of query execution was disc. SSD technology in some researches obtained much faster times of answers than a standard HDD disk.
