Studium sedymentologiczne warstw uznawanych za cergowskie i warstw krośnieńskich wybranych jednostek przedmagurskich Karpat fliszowych na zachód od Dunajca

Abstract

The essential goal of the dissertation was the analysis of the sedimentary environement of the Cergowa Beds and the Krosno Beds (Ol-M) of the Fore-Magura units west of the Dunajec River. The sedimentological facies analysis was the method applied. It has been found that the strata formed mainly within deep-submarine fans. Three such fans have been identified in the basins of the fore-Magura group; their deposits are exposed in the area south of Żywiec, in the Mszana Dolna tectonic window, and in the Klęczany-Limanowa tectonic window. Several sub-environements have been established within these fans: channel fills, and the deposits of channel margins, levees, depositional lobs, lob-fringes and fan-fringes. On the basis of the data obtained and the data on the age of the deposits in question and directions of palaeotransport as well, the models of sedimentation of the strata described have been constructed. Additionally, the author has found that the Cergowa Beds and the Krosno Beds should not be distinguished as two various units in the areas studied because they formed within the same fans. Therefore, a common term – the Krosno Beds should be used. The existence of a fore-Magura ridge that separated the fore-Magura basins from the Magura basin has been corroborated; another ridge that separated the fore-Magura basisn sensu stricto from the Dukla-Grybów basin has been identified.

Podstawowym celem rozprawy doktorskiej była analiza środowiska sedymentacji warstw cergowskich i krośnieńskich (Ol-M) jednostek grupy przedmagurskiej na zachód od Dunajca. Jako metodę badawczą wybrano sedymentologiczną analizę facjalną. W efekcie przeprowadzonych badań stwierdzono, że utwory te powstawały głównie w obrębie głębokomorskich stożków. Zinterpretowano trzy stożki w basenach grupy przedmagurskiej, których osady obecnie odsłaniają się w rejonie na S od Żywca, w oknie tektonicznym Mszany Dolnej oraz w oknie tektonicznym Klęczan-Limanowej. W obrębie stożków zinterpretowano kilka subśrodowisk: kanały rozprowadzające, osady obrzeżenia kanałów, wałów kanałowych, lobów depozycyjnych oraz wachlarzy lobowych i stożkowych. Wykorzystując uzyskane wyniki, a także dane dotyczące wieku badanych utworów i kierunki paleotransportu wykonano modele sedymentacji opisywanych warstw. Ponadto stwierdzono, że na badanych obszarach nie powinno się wydzielać osobno warstw cergowskich i krośnieńskich, gdyż powstawały one w obrębie tych samych stożków, stąd też zaproponowano dla nich wspólną nazwę – warstwy krośnieńskie. Potwierdzono istnienie grzbietu przedmagurskiego oddzielającego baseny przedmagurskie od magurskiego, a także stwierdzono istnienie grzbietu oddzielającego basen przedmagurski sensu stricto od basenu dukielsko-grybowskiego.
