Analiza metod detekcji dyfrakcyjnych linii Kikuchiego

Abstract

The Ph.D. dissertation is composed of two sections. The first one covers mathematical background of the utilized in further parts algorithms of digital image processing and data classification. The section includes the description of such methods as: Hough, Radon, wavelet, curvelet transforms, directional filters, support vector machine, neural networks and other techniques utilized by the author. The second section contains the description of the three, proposed by the author, algorithms of detection of Kikuchi lines. The first algorithm consists in scanning the entire image with a special mask. The second one makes use of the modified Hough transform. The last algorithm involves advanced techniques of the image processing such as curvelet transform, directional filters. The method also utilizes neural networks for data classification. The Ph.D thesis is concluded with the presentation of both the results obtained during tests of the efficiency of the algorithms and original author's achievements.

Tematem rozprawy jest analiza metod detekcji dyfrakcyjnych linii Kikuchiego na obrazach z mikroskopii elektronowej. Praca składa się z dwóch części. Pierwsza z nich ma charakter przeglądowy i zawiera opis narzędzi obliczeniowych, zastosowanych w trakcie badań eksperymentalnych. Zostały w niej między innymi przedstawione transformacje: Hougha, Radona, wavelet i curvelet, filtry kierunkowe oraz różne metody klasyfikacji danych, w szczególności sieci neuronowe. Druga część stanowi opis opracowanych przez autora metod detekcji linii Kikuchiego. Są to w kolejności: metoda oparta na skanowaniu obrazu za pomocą specjalnej maski, metoda bazująca na zmodyfikowanej transformacji Hougha oraz metoda wykorzystująca zaawansowane algorytmy przetwarzania obrazów i klasyfikacji danych. Praca kończy się porównaniem wyników poszczególnych metod oraz podsumowaniem oryginalnych osiągnięć autora.
