| dc.description.abstract | The research aims to comprehensively analyse Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plants using thermodynamic modelling to develop high-efficiency and low-emission large-scale gas plants. It focuses on identifying fuel properties that enable the transition to carbon-free CCGT operation with CO2-neutral fuels. This achieved by using a mixture of gaseous fuels and syngas from sewage sludge, which is a biomass. Integrating syngas blends with fossil fuels and Post¬combustion Carbon Capture and Storage (PCCS) using solvent method creates potential for zero or negative CO2 emissions. The study evaluates fuel properties, various mixtures, and achievable CO2 capture levels. A model a large-scale CCGT power plant with CO2 capture is developed, considering critical components and inputs from thermodynamic analysis. Results based on the comprehensive analysis shows various fuel properties in gas-fired power plants to enhance combustion conditions using different gas fuels, impacts on the integration an operation of CCS installation in CCGT plant with the highest efficiency of CO2 emission reduction. The assessment confirms the system’s feasibility and economic viability | en |
