Transport planning in conditions of different transport tariffs - application of integer programming
(AGH University of Science and Technology Press, 2008) Hanczar, Paweł Stanisław
This paper presents the application of integer programming to planning transport services carried out in parallel by two different shipping companies using different transport tariffs. Formulation of the problem is based on a set partition model which is used to set transport routes. The paper concludes with the presentation of distribution cost analysis based on the suggested model, as applied in one of local companies of the Wrocław area.

A static model for selecting technical facilities of a logistics centre based on the tasks to be performed
(AGH University of Science and Technology Press, 2008) Jacyna, Marianna; Wiśniewski, Krystian
This paper discusses a method of optimisation of technical facilities of logistics systems. The presented approach is based on a static model of cargo flows distribution among the structural elements of the analysed system. The method has been verified using a real logistics centre as an example.

Rescheduling of arrivals and departures at multi-runway airports
(AGH University of Science and Technology Press, 2008) Janik, Tomasz; Łebkowski, Piotr
The issues related to the changeability of the environment concerns primarily all the service and production systems. Proper selection of the control tools and their adjustment to the actual system operation conditions decide of the whole system effectiveness. This paper is an attempt at the development of an efficient tool supporting the control of the airplane arrivals and departures at the airports using more than one runways, with the application of the reactive approach.
