Abstract

The conclusion of the Cold War, and the resulting transformation of political relations system, resulted in the need to develop international order contributing to the general sense of global security. This objective has obtained additional significance in relation to the model of nation-state. In conditions of the market globalisation of products, capital and information, the position of nation-state has undergone important changes. However, majority of commentaries and scenarios built on the basis of current international circumstances underline that nation-state will remain the main agent creating global order based on the principles of partnership and equal rights, rather than domination.
