»Sacrum« wobec »duchowego« - pojęciowe pułapki i warianty wzajemnych odniesień

Abstract

The subject of the present paper includes a reflection on the terminology used by the researchers of spiritual and/or sacred dimension and its consequences concerning the loss of the semantic delimitation between these two notions. To add the evident cultural transformation, embracing literature, as well. The grade of methodological difficulties and those of interpretation grows. Thus, from one hand we have to deal with vague notions with which to depict the literary reality in the aspect of its involved spiritual meaning and generating the sacred area, on the other hand we are concerned with essential changes which take place in contemporary literature. Collision of these both facts carries a researcher into the situation he feels just helpless. Imperfect tools he has been used so far prove to be incompatible with new texts. Therefore, it seems indispensable, in the realm of literature, to be precise in the usage of such ideas as <i>sacrum</i> in its metaphysical and spiritual meaning and find new analytical tools in order to go deep into the strata of the newest literature. To apply such tools could be helpful in catching direction and character dominant up to the last decade of the XX century, its axiological, philosophical, aesthetic paradigm extant in literary texts. The way that the scale of problem is presented qualifies the mental core of considerations dealing with theoretical as well as methodological subjects. In the conclusion the postulate which is formed demands a verification based upon the concrete literary works.

Przedmiotem artykułu jest refleksja nad stosowanymi przez badaczy wymiaru duchowego / wymiaru sacrum w literaturze terminami oraz konsekwencjami braku jasnych delimitacji semantycznych używanych pojęć. Jeżeli dodać do tego zachodzącą na naszych oczach przemianę kulturową, obejmującą także literaturę, skala trudności metodologicznych oraz interpretacyjnych rośnie. Z jednej więc strony mamy do czynienia z nieostrością pojęć, za pomocą których miałaby być opisywana rzeczywistość literacka - w aspekcie obecnych w niej sensów duchowych oraz znaczeń generujących pole sakralnego, z drugiej strony, zasadnicze przemiany, którym podlega literatura współczesna. Zderzenie tych obydwu faktów doprowadza do sytuacji, iż badacz w pewnym sensie jest rozbrojony. Niedoskonałe narzędzia, którymi dotychczas zwykł się posługiwać okazują się niekompatybilne z nowymi tekstami. Zachodzi zatem potrzeba zarówno doprecyzowania pojęć takich jak sacrum, metafizyczne czy duchowe w literaturze, jak i wypracowania nowych narzędzi analitycznych pozwalających na dotarcie do głębokich poziomów znaczeń literatury najnowszej. Zastosowanie ich mogłoby być pomocne w uchwyceniu kierunku i charakteru zmian obowiązującego do lat dziewięćdziesiątych XX wieku paradygmatu aksjologicznego. filozoficznego i estetycznego wpisanego w teksty literackie. Tak zarysowane pole problemowe określa myślowy trzon rozważań, które mają charakter teoretyczno-metodologiczny. Sformułowane postulaty badawcze wymagają - w przyszłości - weryfikacji przeprowadzonej na podstawie konkretnych tekstów literackich.
