The main goal of this paper is to present the results of research aimed at the determining the scope of controlling of IT projects. The outline of the concept of project controlling was prepared on the basis of literature review. The issues crucial for the possibilities of their application in the process of planning and realizing ITprojects were pointed at. The usage of project controlling was illustrated by the results of pilot research conducted in Polish companies of IT sector.

Ekologiczna ocena cyklu inwestycji (LCI) jako system wspomagania decyzji w zarządzaniu środowiskiem w warunkach niepewności

This paper is dealing with the ecological Life Cycle Assessment - a relative new method of environmental impact assessment. In the second chapter is described the International Standards ISO 14 000-ISO 14001. The third chapter concerns the development the LCA methods and its main stages - ISO 14040 (1997), ISO 14041 (1998), ISO 14042 (2000), ISO 14043 (2000) and is given the car life cycle case study. LCI method was used for scenarios for the waste pyrolysis process. Paper uses stochastic modeling based on the IRR and NPV values for investment assessment. The Monte Carlo simulation with the Excel spreadsheet and Crystal Ball software was used to develo scenarios under uncertainty inputs.

Impact of globalisation on functioning of small and medium enterprises

The article presents changes in the SME sector as a result of emergence of the globalisation proeess. Fundamental reasons for occurrence of this process in economy were indicated, and effect of globalisation on small and medium enterprises was presented. To survive in new conditions, most enterprises are forced to introduce changes, such as increase quality of their products, cut costs or alter ways of managing the business. Additionally, globalisation forces enterprises to focus on innovation and competitiveness, that is, knowledge-based economy.

Innowacje - istotny czynnik konkurencyjności współczesnej firmy

The innovation development is influenced by the arising competition between companies and by the limited marked demand. Every possible competition strategy requires an innovation. The time becomes more and more important. The purchaser's requirements rise, the offer choice is difficult for him. Innovations cause positive and negative effects. One can observe the differences between countries in innovation level. Changes are needed in marketing.

Innowacyjna metoda produkcji grubościennych rur o małych średnicach

Kryteria prawdy i użyteczności informacji w modelach zarządzania w warunkach niepewności i ryzyka

In this paper there is presented the model of making decisions in the company where its condisions is unstable. Then the decidend is forced to make quick decisions based on information not always reliable and complete. There is a conflict between effective managment in the case of a risk and an aversion to some action within a group of decidends which causes a risk. This paper presents some suggestions how to mitigate the conflict.

Logistyka zaopatrzenia huty w wybrane surowce

Metoda Total Cost of Ownership oceny efektywności inwestycji informatycznych

Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is a method of entirety glance at costs connected with purchase, use and development of information technologies by firms. It was invented in 70-ties of 20-th century, and then developed by Gartner Group. The report includes a short characteristic of this method, which components serve to measure, manage and rationalize of IT costs, aiming at improvement of IT investments effectiveness.

Młodzi pracownicy o wiedzy i kształceniu

The article contains the results of a survey carried out on a group of 200 people from chosen companies, which operate in the area of Częstochowa and in its region. The survey had a form of a questionnaire composed of multiple - choice questions. The surveyed employees were asked about their age, education background, qualifications and ways of improving them. The questioned employees, at the age of under 30, expressed their ideas regarding work. Some conformist attitudes can be noticed among the surveyed workers and that may become dangerous for themselves as well as for their employers. At the some time the survey proves that young employees are responsible, creative and have the right attitude to working, but it does not convince the management of a lot of companies.

The aim of this report is presentation of Lean Management instruments. The meaning of Lean was discussed at first. Then was fundamental instruments and techniques mentioned, which are indispensable to correct inculcating and appling of Lean methodic. The article finish reflections, that all instruments in Lean conception are dependent on yourself and only, when they are connexioned with each other in the system, which does Lean philosophy, can give good effects.
