Abstract

Rozwój gospodarki wodorowej wymaga budowy całego łańcucha wartości wodoru, w szczególności: nowych mocy wytwórczych energii odnawialnej, instalacji produkcyjnych zielonego wodoru, infrastruktury transportowej i dystrybucyjnej wodoru oraz obiektów do magazynowania wodoru.

Hydrogen as an energy carrier will play an important role in achieving climate neutrality. Climate neutrality is currently the focus of global and European energy efforts and is essential to achieving $CO_{2}$ emission reduction targets. In addition, hydrogen provides a solution for economic sectors where emission reductions through electrification are difficult to achieve. The development of the hydrogen economy requires the construction of the entire hydrogen value chain, in particular: new renewable energy generation capacity, green hydrogen production facilities, hydrogen transportation and distribution infrastructure, and hydrogen storage facilities. In order to meet the demand for hydrogen, ensure the stability and security of energy supply, and implement the EU energy policy in Poland, it is necessary to use the high potential of offshore wind power for direct production of hydrogen and provide facilities for large-scale hydrogen storage. In this dissertation, the potential for green hydrogen production and storage in Poland was studied, and a system proposal was presented that included both hydrogen production on offshore production platforms using the renewable energy of dedicated wind farms, and hydrogen storage in salt caverns and in the form of ammonia. In order to accomplish this, the hydrogen production capacity was studied on the basis of the obtained wind data from different areas of the Baltic Sea, and a system of offshore production platforms and transport pipelines was designed. Then, on the basis of the production results obtained, a system for storing hydrogen in salt caverns and in the form of ammonia was proposed, and a comparative analysis of the two storage methods was made, with a focus on the feasibility of implementing the respective storage system and the end use of hydrogen.
