Abstract
Wypracowane wnioski końcowe, sformułowane na bazie przeprowadzonych badań i analiz, były podstawą do wypracowania zmienionego / nowego systemu (harmonogramu) przeglądów okresowych silników gazowych.
The present work, carried out within the framework of an implementation doctorate, demonstrated the possibility of changing the system (time periods) of main overhauls / overhauls of engines whose fuel is gas from mine de-methanation. Performed non-destructive testing of selected engine components, analysis of engine operating parameters, and correlation and interpretation of the obtained results, was aimed at developing an answer to the formulated main objective of the work. For analytical purposes, proven, simple engineering test methods (NDT) were used, which were characterised by low execution costs. This allowed for an optimisation of the financial outlay while at the same time obtaining binding results that allowed for the development of final conclusions. The final conclusions, formulated on the basis of the research and analysis carried out, were the basis for the development of a revised/new system (schedule) for periodic inspections of gas engines. The new schedule includes engines that are in the post-warranty period. The conclusions and recommendations resulting from the work will make it possible to achieve the following effects: economic, which are connected with a change in the distribution of financial outlays, connected with emissions, and environmental effects resulting from the optimisation of engine operation.
