Karla Jaspersa propozycja egzystencjalnej filozofii kultury

Abstract

The paper deals with concept of culture as reconstructed on the basis of a work of great German philosopher Karl Jaspers. The views of Jaspers Existential Philosophy are presented in connection with such key problems as an act of creation and reception of culture. Jaspers may be thought of in terms of one of the existential representatives of high culture as opposed to a low one. The reconstructed views of Jaspers are discussed within the framework of what is known as anthropological existentialism.
