Wpływ wybranych półprzewodników II–VI na właściwości fotoanody TiO2
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2024) Bartosik, Emma
The article presents results of optical and current-voltage measurements of the semiconductor heterostructures based on $TiO_{2}$. Photoelectrodes were prepared by CdS deposition with the SILAR method and CdSe using the CBD method. The spectral, current-voltage and current-time characteristics of photoelectrodes under illumination were examined. The band gap energy of the obtained heterostructures was determined using two methods: based on the Kubelka–Munk function and the differential method. The energy conversion efficiency, flat band potential and saturation photocurrent density values were calculated. A correlation between the number of SILAR cycles and the photocurrent was observed. Sensitization of CdS and CdSe significantly affects the performance of $TiO_{2}$ photoanode and allows the reduction of the band gap energy by approximately 1,0 eV, thereby shifting the absorption edge towards the visible light range.

Wentylacja, klimatyzacja, transplantacja – kształtowanie mikroklimatu w jednostkach onkologicznych
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2024) Chołota, Paulina
The history of aseptic practices recounts the evolution of medical hygiene practices, including pivotal moments that led to the establishment of current standards for preventing infections in the medical environment. Alarming statistics illustrate the consequences of inadequate hygiene in oncology facilities. Evaluating the cleanliness of clean rooms requires monitoring the number of particles and microorganisms in the air, as well as strict control of environmental parameters such as humidity, temperature, lighting, pressure differentials, and static electricity levels. These parameters are rigorously regulated and monitored to maintain them within the limits specified by relevant norms and standards regarding the preservation of aseptic conditions in medical facilities. Examining the stability of airflow in oncology facilities, where maintaining the highest air cleanliness class is required, includes testing and optimizing ventilation and filtration systems to ensure patient safety. Transplantation plays a significant role in oncology as it enables the transplantation of organs or cells, which may be part of cancer therapy, especially in hematological diseases.

Innowacyjne technologie i materiały wykorzystywane przy produkcji chwytów wspinaczkowych
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2024) Dębicki, Wiktor
Climbing holds are a basic element of the equipment of every climbing wall – commercial, home or specialized. The selection of appropriate materials and production technology is crucial to ensure that they meet all standards. Climbing holds, in accordance with applicable law, must have an appropriate approval or certificate, which has been confirmed by an independent accredited research unit. Therefore, efforts are made to automate the production processes of climbing holds, reduce the amount of waste and use materials taking into account the ecological aspect. The work presents the stages of production processes. After the technological and technical analysis, the greatest qualitative benefits of the proposed solutions were presented and directions for further actions were indicated.

Innowacyjny system łączenia fundamentów bezpośrednich z konstrukcjami cementogruntowymi
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2024) Golowska, Adrianna; Góralczyk, Alicja
The presentation addresses the topic of integrating the foundations of direct engineering structures such as bridges or viaducts with cement-soil structures made using TRENCHMIX® technology. Due to the lack of designated contact parameters between cement-soil and concrete, an original shear strength study was conducted using a direct shear apparatus, along with strength tests on cement-soil. Subsequently, modeling of three shapes of various dimensions embedded in cement-soil was carried out using the FLAC3D program. Finally, simulations of pull-out tests were performed, and the best shape was selected. The process of numerical analysis was automated using code written in Python.

Monitorowanie jakości powietrza w Polsce w kontekście koncepcji smart city
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2024) Gontarz, Daria
Air pollution is one of the biggest and most important problems faced by city authorities today. To improve air quality, one of the main priorities is to introduce the concept of effective city management according to the smart city idea. It is an urban concept that contributes to improving the quality of life in urban space by using modern urban and technological solutions. The work presents the idea of a smart city and what important factors are needed to analyze and react in real time to dynamic events. Moreover, the work lists in detail examples of Polish cities that meet the conditions of smart city and presents guidelines and prospects for the development of this concept for Poland. An important conclusion from the analysis of the problem is to answer the question how smart cities improve the lives of residents and how the air quality will change in large urban agglomerations in the coming years.
